Medical Service Care renews its collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation to promote socio-sports projects in hospitals and centers for vulnerable people

Medical Service Care, together with the Real Madrid Foundation, has renewed its collaboration agreement, which both entities have maintained since 2018, to continue developing socio-sports projects in hospitals and centers for vulnerable people in Spain. The signing of the agreement took place in the auditorium of Real Madrid City and was attended by Enrique Sánchez, Vice President of the Real Madrid Foundation; José Muriana, CEO of Medical Service Care; and Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid.

As part of this alliance, Medical Service Care continues to support the Hospital Basketball ProgramThis initiative integrates basketball into the physical, emotional, and social recovery processes of patients. The program offers weekly sessions tailored to each participant's abilities, combining physical activity, recreational activities, and values education through a structured educational methodology. For a REAL education: Values and sportIn the last season alone, nearly 2,000 people benefited from these activities.

In addition to its work in Spain, Medical Service Care maintains its international commitment by supporting the Real Madrid Foundation's work in India through IIMC Spain, chaired by Dr. José Muriana. Thanks to this collaboration, which began in 2011, the Foundation runs a socio-sports school in Kheadah, Kolkata, where 150 boys and girls receive training, school supplies, scholarships, and nutritional support in an environment marked by poverty and the risk of dropping out of school.

During the event, Emilio Butragueño highlighted the impact of the program: “Through sport we bring to hospitals a different space that motivates, transmits values and, in many cases, manages to bring a smile to people's faces in difficult times.”

For his part, José Muriana emphasized Medical Service Care's commitment to this initiative: “For us, it is always a source of pride to be able to renew our collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation and to think that in the future we can even expand it, which is what we hope.”
